About me

I hold a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Granada (UGR), where I am part of the IdBIS research group and currently work as a postdoctoral fellow. My research lies at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Natural Language Processing (NLP), with a focus on: (1) developing intelligent systems for health and nutrition applications, (2) addressing the challenges of heterogeneous and multimodal data, and (3) detecting and mitigating biases and sexism in language models.

Previously, I worked as a researcher in the H2020 Project Stance4Health, contributing to the design of an intelligent nutrition service. I also hold Master's degrees in Computer Engineering and Data Science from UGR, where I specialized in computing and intelligent systems. My academic path began with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, where I discovered my passion for machine learning, data analysis, and their real-world applications.

Scientific communication I actively participate in scientific dissemination and outreach activities, including international conferences, AI workshops, and events for the general public such as the European Researchers' Night 2022. I have also been a workshop leader and invited speaker at the national Python conference (PyConES) and at PyData-Granada, sharing my research with the open-source Python community.
